Earning for Learning

Official Rules & Regulations:

1. Customers must present receipts to the Guest Services Center from any store or restaurant from The Mall at Johnson City. Qualifying receipts are on purchases made from August 1 – September 14, 2008 ONLY, and MUST BE FROM a retailer at The Mall at Johnson City.

2.  Select retailers will be chosen weekly as double point stores. The Mall at Johnson City Gift Card purchases count as triple points during the promotion.

3. Double and triple points do not stack on top of one another. Purchasing a mall gift card and using the mall gift card for a mall purchase does not qualify for points again.

 4. Receipts may only be used one time and will be marked when presented to Guest Services.  The receipt must be the original copy.  Duplicate receipts, photo copies, faxes and internet orders will not be accepted.  All receipts must be redeemed by 6 p.m. on September 14 , 2008.

5. Purchases of faxes and photo copies cannot be redeemed for points. Credit card payments, even if made to a store at the mall, will not be accepted for points either.

6.  Store employees may not request or copy receipts from store customers in order to redeem them for points.  Additionally, stores (or store employees) may not hold receipts to give to schools to redeem for points.  Solicitation of stores to hold receipts for schools is also prohibited.  Mall store employees may not redeem receipts on behalf of the customer. Customers must bring their own receipts to the Guest Services Center for points.

7. Each dollar spent equals 1 point.  Anything less than $.50 will be rounded down to the nearest dollar, and anything equal to or greater than $.50 will be rounded up to the nearest dollar (Ex. $10.45 = 10 points and $10.56 = 11 points).

8. The highest point per student ratio will determine the winning schools.  The total number of points for each school is divided by the number of students enrolled in the school. All schools, regardless of size, will start with a minimum student enrollment of 400 students.  Enrollment numbers will be provided by the schools.

9. Any public or private K-12, elementary, middle or high school in the tri-state area is eligible to participate. Guest Services will only list the most commonly named schools in the area.  Preschools, colleges and other post-high school institutions are not eligible.

10. At the end of the promotion the top 7 schools with the highest points per student ratio will win cash prizes: 1st - $10,000; 2nd- - $7,500; 3rd - $5,000; 4th - $3,500, 5th - $2,000, 6th- -  $1,500 and 7th - $1,000.

11. The Mall at Johnson City Management Office will make the final decision regarding any dispute.

12. The Mall at Johnson City reserves the right to refuse suspicious or fraudulent receipts, or any receipt transactions breaking the above rules.

13.  The Mall at Johnson City reserves the right to modify these rules at any time without notice.

14. A representative from each winning school must be present at final ceremony to receive award.
